Jessie (Good) Rasche
Painting in the Pacific Northwest

In February of 2009 I started a painting (almost) a day project, which you can see in my blog. I am painting small everyday objects - mostly fruit, flowers, landscapes and toys. I try to capture the light effects on those objects, and also the feeling and weight of the objects.

My style can be described as impressionistic, colorful, serene, and slightly whimsical.

I also paint plein air landscapes as well as studio pieces. I am currently working in oil, but occasionally pull out the watercolor paints.

Last year I painted some abstracted bird characters, which you can find in the bird gallery.

Most of my time is spent with my incredibly amazing and fun 24 month old son.
